Travels: Cruising the Bahamas with Carnival

In September of last year (2015) I had the opportunity to head out to Orlando, Florida for a conference for work and we decided to take advantage and make a vacation out of it. Tony joined me after the conference and we spent a week or so exploring Walt Disney World and Universal Studios Orlando before embarking on a cruise the Bahamas.  We had cruised twice with Carnival in the past so we decided to go with the 4-day (Thurs-Sun) Bahamas cruise embarking from Port Canaveral, FL to Nassau with one Fun Day at Sea.

Our time on the boat was very relaxing and we mostly just enjoyed doing absolutely nothing since we had done a ton of walking at the amusement parks. "Eat. Sleep. Repeat." was the motto of the cruise.

For our day in Nassau, I booked us an hour with the dolphins of Dolphin Cay. I've always been a creature of the sea and it's been on my bucket list to swim with dolphins so this ended up being the perfect opportunity. It was only us and another couple and we got to feed and play with the dolphins for an hour. We also had the dolphins push us through the water which was pretty darn awesome. The time does pass by pretty quickly but it was an amazing experience.

All in all it was a wonderful time out at sea. We've always loved cruising
because it is such a laid back vacation where you're always fed and you
don't have to worry about a single thing. Plus, if you don't have an
awesome phone plan, no one can contact you *thumbs up* lol.
It's a great way to actually get away in this day and age.
We didn't get a chance to play at the beach or at the
water park at the Atlantis Resort but it looks absolutely amazing!
I definitely want to go back to stay at the Atlantis Resort one of these days!

See you on our next adventure!
