Date Night: Museums on Us

Since moving to San Diego, I haven't really had a chance to go to any of the museums here. I had the weekend off so we decided to take advantage of Bank of America's Museums on Us program. The program offers free admission to over 150 museums on the first full weekend of every month just for showing your Bank of America debit or credit card and a photo ID. There are 3 museums in San Diego that are participants in the program: Birch Aquarium at Scripps, Museum of Photographic Arts (MOPA), and The San Diego Museum of Arts.

I've always had a love for the ocean and all sea creatures so we decided to check out the Birch Aquarium.

  

The views outside are to die for! They remind me of the views at the top of Diamond Head. Make sure you touch the anemones! I freaked out because it felt so tingly and one of the volunteers laughed at me lol. Overall, you can make your time at the museum go as fast or slow as you want. It's a fairly small museum so you can probably get thru it in a couple of hours. It's a great place to go with kids as well.
