Honeymoon Diaries: Santorini - Day 2

Day 2: Exploring the Island

For our first breakfast, we chose to have a Greek breakfast.
The amazing breakfast at our hotel made getting out of bed a little easier.

For our second day in Santorini, we decided to go on a group tour of the island.

First stop on the tour was at Megalochori. Our tour guide Katy was super informative.

After our stop at Megalochori, we went to Akrotiri.

This was an optional tour and it was definitely one that we didn't regret.

I was always obsessed with Pompei and Mt. Vesuvious when I was younger so seeing "the Pompei of Greece" along with our informative guide was an awesome experience.

After Akrotiri, we headed to Perissa Beach where we had lunch and walked around.

 After Perissa Beach, we went to the highest point on Santorini. 

Unfortunately, it was quite cloudy and we couldn't really see much. 

Before heading to Oia, we stopped at Santo Wines for some wine tasting.

Santo Wines is also home of some of the most spectacular sunset views on the island.

The last stop on our bus tour was Oia for the sunset. 

Pictures just don't do this place justice!

We tried to watch the sunset from this popular spot but again, too many clouds to really see anything. 

After watching the sunset in Oia, we hopped back on the bus and headed back to

Fira town where we had dinner and walked around some more.
